It's very vibrant still and the paper shows some sign of aging. It's painted in watercolour and using Indian ink. This is part of the Roy Raymonde preliminary series for Playboy Magazine between 1972 - 2002 and comes from the private collection that has been kept in Roy's studio until now. Roy's old art studio address is on the back of the artwork as they were sent to the cartoon Editor, Michelle Urry, in the USA for selection before being sent back to the UK. The painting is signed 'Raymonde Rough' in Indain Ink - Roy's preferred medium for his cartoons. "Clive, honey - did you ever hear the expression 'Good wine needs no bush'?" - Caption by Roy and written in pencil.
